WonderBill was funded by BCG Digital ventures and Shell Plc. The app helped users to manage all their household bills in one secure place. Company ceased trading in 2022.
One part of app 1.0 that was missing was a full understanding across the business about exactly what we sent to users and when. A large part of this project was working with data scientists, marketers and stakeholders to identify the different types of messages users received.
I created an interaction journey map to highlight all, internal app notifications, push notifications and emails that we would send in app 2.0. Once the interaction journey map was complete I wire framed each email signing off the content and layout ready for the design/build.
The goal of the project was to gain transparency as a business around what we send and to design email templates that focus the user on the action they need to take.
I followed the double diamond design process to help me understand, define and solve the problem at hand. To understand how the emails were performing - we analysed the open rates, click through rates, and bounce rates for the current and new emails.
