My role

Research, Logo Design, Brand Identity, Company Wide Presentations.

The project

As part of a new vision for the WonderBill app we also wanted to update the name, logo and branding to better reflect our values as a business. Given the new vision was heavily including Open Banking, the logo and company both needed to contribute to a feeling of trust/security whilst at the same time not losing the fast paced/techy/start up type feeling you would get if you were to visit the office at WonderBill.

From the initial kick off stakeholder meetings where we focused on the brand values, right through to the final company wide presentations I worked with stakeholders, marketers, and the product team to finalise the design from start to finish.

The goal of the project was to redesign the logo and branding to better reflect our values as a business. We wanted to better communicate who we were and what we stood for.

The company

WonderBill was funded by BCG Digital ventures and Shell Plc. The app helped users to manage all their household bills in one secure place. Company ceased trading in 2022.

My design process

I integrated as much user feedback into the project as possible. I spent a lot of time at the start of the project understanding the problem by defining the brand and company values. It was important to know what impression the company logo needed to give off.

Working within the fairly saturated bill management industry - I performed a considerable amount of research into our competitors to see how we could position ourselves in the market and stand out from our competitors.
